Night Time Memories

My mind is like a clear blue summer’s sky
And my memories are like clouds rolling by
Most they are beautiful, pure and white
But when I sleep, when I lay down at night
Dark clouds build and overwhelm the light,
Like a summers storm they gather with menace
The wind that drives them is fear & regret
And I have-not managed to control either yet
So like a storm that is coming, the first drops of rain fall
And I am caught out in the open to weather the storm
