Night Time Calls

The night watchman and darkness make their calls
As we sleep inside those four walls
Creatures of the night unfold
Trolling nightmares creep and crawl
Into those forbidden thoughts inside our mind
Installing fears in an inward bind
Dread is a thick rope entangling till it chokes
A cold sweat taking hold!
Kindred demons released by a spell
The moon even in hiding behind a shroud
Everyone wearing ghastly or ghostly features
Dream on and protected you will be
As she sits and watches from that old Banyan tree!
