Night Time
The darkness had me like a harness.
Free space of mind, in darkness with it's massive sky.
Sitting on top of a roof, stars alight like nothing you've ever imagined.
Day is done, night has come, we fought these battles and we have won.
It's not as dark as it used to be, it's a bit navy now.
It's not as quiet as it used to be, the trees speak now.
Movement of trees become a saxophone.
Clouds not white but dark, yet stars light through them.
We never embrace the light, we are done with the fight.
We know the noise, it's time for a silent night.
The serenity that serenades the blue.
It's not as grim for me as it would be for you.
Foot steps of night folks become a drum to my ears.
The giggles of night folks who fall into fantasy night become a song to my ears.
