Night Sky Sings

The night sky sings a melody
Well-known musical, heavenly,
Hauntingly a refrain in time
Nestling in chords purely sublime
A show tune sang so prettily.

Stars twinkling lyrics randomly
The moon hums bass line jazzily,
I added a new verse in rhyme
                         The night sky sings.

The song becomes a rhapsody
Filling my heart with utter glee
The Northern Star added a chime,
Making my happy spirit climb
Suddenly, I’m feeling so free,
                         The night sky sings.

Very nicely done. I can almost hear the music in this one. I wonder have you ever tried the big brother to this style? It's called A "Rondea Redouble" I have 1. It was one of the first I posted here.

I have, Charles, perhaps two or three of them. I love the form. I have read your poem about sailing the seven seas. It is one of my FAVES now. You are an enormously talented poet, and I am delighted that you have read and commented on something I wrote. Stay in touch, please.
