Night Sky After Work

A poem for Mary inspired by the Thursday night sky, 07 May, 2015, as I left work

A lone star shines above
and my mind turns to thee.
Tis not a star but tis my love
looking down so gracefully.
Rays of light do I perceive?
No, tis her hair that doth enthrall
and of this world I take my leave.
Yet about her is that all?
Much more there is to her
that piques my curiosity.
She shows me layer by layer
and keeps me desiring her for longevity.
Beautiful star in the sky
You’re in my thought till on the morrow
I can draw you nigh.
