Night Shadows Nychterines Skies
Come lay beside me on my bed of silk and dreams
and in the quiet we will watch the darkness fall
and the moonlight shall cast its shadows about us
once darkness descends I shall reach out to you
just as I have so many lonely nights in my dreams
we have no need anymore for words they lay falsely between us
I have waited patiently and chaste for this moment
do not deny me now, move closer my love, so I may feel you there
for tomorrow you will leave again, make me no promises
you were here before and left me in my sorrow
your words empty and promises as thin as dust
tonight is for lovers- tonight is for us
among the night shadows.
