Night Owl

dusk sets
full moon
night brought
perch high
owl hoots
head turns
shape drift
one side
on ground
snatch prey

still lull
tucked in
snug, warm
calm sleep
till morn

Night becomes alive at times with birds like night owls, catching prey and then falls back to stillness again ! So well composed Eve.

"head turns" is creepy enough for anyone who has seen an owl at night! Enjoyed, Eve! Aloha!

Wow! What an impressive Footle, Eve. Unbelievable that few words can create such a mesmerizing description! Your golden pen can. Love and hugs ~ Mala

I've seen some owls along time ago in Leeds Castle England. We don't have them in Malta. Lovely description. Hugs.
