Night of The Stars
The best time to see the stars and,
Their beauty is slightly after midnight.
The night is calm and quiet,
Least be the sullen sounds of,
The waves as they crash against the shore.
I find the beach as my sanctuary.
The tranquility of the sounds,
The moonlight, and the stars,
Calm the nightmares that invade my thoughts.
This is my safe place, which allows me to,
Wind down from the ugliness,
Of the world that is my every day.
I live it, I breathe it,
I experience it, and
With my heart and soul, I keep all safe,
While I keep watch.
