Night of Stone--Four Lines

For thirteen moons I holler in angst relentlessly
Under coal stars, these hands pray over August's ceasefire;

Till a young man's dull frame quakes on bloodied tracks...
O my son laying with ghosts of heroes, my night of stone.

This excellent poem tugs at our heartstrings, Nette! A son who died too young...a victim of war...a mother, inconsolable. Congratulations on yet again a merited win. Hugs // paul

Nette, your poems are not just excellent, they surpass and exceed poets of note, you are a young Shakespearean poetess in the making. Congratulations on your win Nette - a tremendous write. Poetry hugs, Jenny.

A deep and dark verse nette, many a mother has lost their sons to meaningless wars. Tom.
