Night Creatures

Peering into the darkness, I see the clouds
rolling by. Drifts of rabbits and
horses strolling across a vast
moonlit sky. No city lights to
remove the intensity, only nature.
A soothing breeze floats across the
meadow, bringing the sweet smells
of darkness and dew to the
area. Before light the creatures are
vocal, knowing their homes are safe
and their locations unknown. They
call to the creatures within the
clouds, and fall asleep waiting
for their answer.
