Night Breaks into a Summer Day

upon my waking
rays of light through window
fall and spread
upon worn carpet
scattered papers
wait to be picked up
stories told
boxes stacked in corner
memories of a past life
the restless housecat
wandering through a jungle
I live another day
wandering through a jungle
the restless housecat
memoires of a past life
boxes stacked in a corner
stories told
wait to be picked up
scattered papers
upon worn carpet
fall and spread
rays of light through window
upon my waking

A very poignant poem that emanates nostalgia and grief! Memories can be bittersweet. And can cause grief and The way youv expressed here is so very heartfelt. I love the way it has that mirror effect from the top to the bottom! Clever! Pleasure reading ~ Sending you light always
