Night Bird

Did you hear the night bird calling,
gently luring her away?
Did you feel the thunder rolling,
as you watched her drift away?

Did she watch the roses dying,
as your world turned black and gray?
Does she sleep in blissful slumber,
as you keep foul ghosts at bay?

Do you feel the cold rain pelting,
while the sunshine lights her way?
Will your spirit ne'er recover
from those words she spoke that day?

Words are weapons. Words are healing. We choose how we use them. Sometimes when I'm talking to a kid I'll find the words he or she heard did more damage than the abuse. Vince

Wow, this is an amazing write, very deep and intriguing...The strong emotional toll of a relationship where one is dealing with their own demons and the other is suffering and being pushed away or neglected..But finding the courage to express yourself and the strength to leave..But not before leaving him with words that would haunt him forever...I hope this is what this is about, if not.. sorry..sometimes my imagination runs wild..beautifully written though,God Bless*Tyesha
