Nice and Slow

She left this world in a hurry even though she lived it slow leaving behind a legacy of kids, and a scented afterglow Love was all she knew and she showed it with iconic smile what I wouldn't give to hug her one more time,... I know leaving this world in a hurry she entered heaven nice and slow I saw the bouquet of violets that they left for her and cried for the scent of her clung to my pillow only once she died Life was a series of moments some tested some tried what I wouldn't give to today to have her by my side I know, I saw the bouquet of violets only when she died Mother was a precious poem written with a gentle quill she was like flowers blooming on our window sill Love was all she gave us until she became ill oh what I wouldn't give to love her just like days of old She left this world but all I know is she loved us, more then gold !

To have a mother's undying love is really a treasure few seem to recognise! Aloha! Rico

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother, you have written a beautiful poem in her tribute, I too love violets, and the line about the 'scented afterglow'..
