Next To Me
If I looked for you at Christmas
Would I need a special star
Love and care is all I see
With you there right next to me.
If I just take a moment
From the list of things to do
Listening to my heart I find
Peace and silence waiting there with you.
Beyond the decorations of stars and bells
I hear you whisper my name
A gentle breeze touches my face
I know that you have come
The warmth of family bonding, a kiss under mistletoe
Gifts of love and kindness come knocking on my door.
