Next In Line

It seems like the night is so dark
When no one knows who you are
In the grass you look at the stars
Trying to find out who you are

You long for the love between your hips
Dreaming of the perfect kiss
You’re praying that he’ll call you mine
But you’re just the next in line

Your heart is so deeply broken
Finding anything to put your hope in
Searching till the end of time
Trying to leave your past behind

Every girl dreams of that perfect wedding
You blindly hope that that’s the direction you’re heading
You’re praying that you’ll find the place where you belong
But every time love has proven you wrong

You long for the love between your hips
Dreaming of the perfect kiss
You’re praying that he’ll call you mine
But you’re just the next in line

Whenever you find a guy to trust
He breaks you with his lust
Whenever you find the strength to stand
You get shoved into the sand

When the pants go to the floor
You’re always called the whore
When someone looks you in the face
You feel like a disgrace

You long for the love between your hips
Dreaming of the perfect kiss
You’re praying that he’ll call you mine
But you’re just the next in line

How do you fix a broken heart
Where can you find a new place to start
Is there a place to send your pain
Will someone ever call your name

When the pain stabs you like a knife
There’s one person that can save your life
When the world shows nothing but hate
Jesus Christ will change your fate

You long for the love between your hips
Dreaming of the perfect kiss
You’re praying that he’ll call you mine
But you’re just the next in line
