Sharing what is in excess is up beyond its limits Yes, to the poor and the downtrodden we do share our food in bits We even buy more than we do need So that the hungry we do feed! Love abounds in every corner of the island Yes, to all the brothers and the sisters of the world we go give a hand Life is but a transitory passage So we do care to make of it here in Mauritius, a blessing! Faith does live here, side by side with tolerance So many people, each one having his own belief Yet, we do always share, with each other, a mystical dance Always hand in hand, always with smile on our face! Here, we rush not to work We do take the time to sit and enjoy the sun Life here is such fun Pray, world, life here reminds me of the comfort of Noah's ark!
