Newly Made In Christ -2 Corinthians 5: 17
A Christian is one made anew
having Christ come to dwell within
making you to be a new creature
to overcome the old nature of sin
This old nature doesn’t go away
but the new one resides in you
making spiritual battle in your soul
God gives you the weapons to do
The victory doesn’t happen overnight
it takes all of eternity to overcome
as Christ is formed within your heart
moulding godly character in that slum
Gradually and surely old things go
as all things become just like new
Jesus takes over as your Lord king
walking in step with Him as your cue
So if you are truly in Christ
you are indeed a new creature
old has gone for new has come
calling you in Him to endure
('Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. ') 2 Corinthians 5: 17 (ESV)
