New Year's Resolutions
New Year's resolutions for the year,
I hope for a another beautiful season.
We dream of becoming more successful,
Achieving goals, distant and near.
A healthy and happy year with relatives and friends,
Care and love guides us through the year.
Accomplishing more and thriving at what we are good at,
I enjoy art and poetry, my poetry appears on the computer.
Read universally and you hope that blesses relatives and friends,
Art is a good pastime , you have developed a talent for drawing and painting.
I had my own art exhibit years ago, a catered affair,
Where my relatives and few friends appeared, my art appeared on the calendar.
My poetry appeared on our senior's letter and calendar,I published two books" Living With God" and "The Sounds of Christmas"
I used to perform with the church on Sundays.
I am retired now and don't preform anymore.
A good experience where you meet good neighbors and friends.
I had to retire my performance level.
I did sing an Elvis Presley song to the dinning-hall.
Received with applause and friendship.
I played the piano for the birthdays and teas,
My friend recorded my piano music.
I sent the recording to my relatives,
I am thankful for the many miracles in my life.
I look forward to the visits of my relatives and their friendship,
The dinning and conservation walks with them.
Truly blessed as a senior, more hopes and dreams to come.
God continues to bless relatives and friends.
