New Year's Prayer

From Your serene glories, please do send,
Your Love to carol me, again,
Your Amazing Grace that has no end,
Your divine powers that sustain.

With heavenly blessings, snow on me,
Caresses me with a gentle breeze,
Give me Your strength to overcome the stormy sea,
And put in me The Resurrection, please.

Over my weary soul sift flakes of mercy,
and sprinkle white flowers on my path,
Whisper tenderly to me; you are worthy,
You are no more under my wrath.

Carry me in Your arms and make me glow,
Make my words pleasant and mild,
Make me white like the whitest snow,
Let all see that I am Your Child.

And, God, I wish for one more thing, today,
Until You come or as long as I live,
Make me a star on this world's skies, I pray,
A sign to always shine... always believe.
