New Years Embers

New Year’s Embers

One life to another life clear and fine
One ember as it burns, strikes the generation twig
Ignites, brings it to life, burning bright with definition
We love our parents, hold the Commandments
Burn that light of honor
We call it future
Our ancestors never die
As long as we exist to keep their flame alive
In memory and solid thought and love
New Years reflect on us, reflect on all our years
We hold our parents near
When baby comes we give them our same blessing
Our past generations rock them in their cradles
Hold them up as embers and pray the flames go on
To Happy New Years clear and fine
