New Year's Day
One tiny bird
Puffed so large
his wings won't close
Perched in the stick leaf
Rhododendron
On the only stem
still clinging snow
Tasting it to wet
a tip of beak
Just a wee
Dock'n doris
in sunny frozen
Wind
