New Year Wishes
The old year is fast flying by,
A new year is jostling around
With whispers of warm winds from high,
And sizzling sun in the surround;
Marked by two public holidays
It`s celebrated in piety
By many on the prime first day
And then in fine festivity;
Let the heat of tropical climes
Expand the heart of every man
With compassion and make it shine
With loving care as for a friend;
Let the heart shine with human care
For those in dire wants and needs
In a spirit of bring and share
As agents of His grace, indeed;
Let the shine of peace spread apace
In the town as in the city
On the hills as in the village
In the midst of fine unity;
On New Year`s day and every day
Let us all dispel from our mind
Evil thoughts for men on our way
For peace of mind ever to find;
On New Year`s day and everyday
Let us forgive our friends and foes
For wrongs by them done, or sad woes
Inflicted to us in a sway;
On New Year`s day and everyday
Let the gem of fraternity
Spread apace its bright shining rays
To signal the festivity;
On New Year`s day and everyday
Let`s spread the message of good will
On land, at sea or in a bay
In the fields or on top of hills;
On New Year`s day and everyday
Let the Lord`s grace rest with all man
His divine light brighten up their way
Joy and good health be their brethren,
Like the shine of the sun at dawn
Like dewdrops on the greenish lawn
Like singing birds at early morn
Like sunrise in the horizon.
