New Year Dawning

As we approach a New Year’s dawning It’s time to reflect on another year passed What did we achieve in 2021? Did we accomplish anything that will last? Can we say the year was, basically, a good one? We made the most of the time we were given, Were we prudent about the way we lived? Or, did we feel like we were perpetually riven? I hope, in ’22, we can peacefully, come together And learn to live with our differences, Sharing the good from all our diverse experiences Erecting new bridges and seldom building fences.

Ultimately, we must learn, though it seems to be taking an awfully long time. The best advice I've read today.

A new broom sweeps clean. A New Year brings hope for the future. Great verse, Milt Especially the last line.

Yes, it would. I'm afraid we have a way to go, however.

This is what we used to do and well "And learn to live with our differences," I do want to get back to it also.

Well said Milton, it's time to put aside our differences and come together, life is too short to bear grudges. Safe journey and happy new year. Tom

That was the intention, Marilene. Fresh starts are always in order. Actually, when we fail, we can have a fresh start immediately if we choose to.
