New Year

Aurora of years
Wooing the years:
The mist-fed sky-
An expanse of whiteness
Descending down the earth
Venus hobbling away
The mortals hopping all the way.

Years consume;
Moments feed.
It was Aurora down the dust
Aurora in the olive campus
It’s Aurora again
Round my glasses
A heavenly blithe pervades
Like immortal youth-
An all weather bosom
On silver chariot
Smiling rose.

Rise, rise and rise!
In the wrinkles of time
Amid blood and fire
Thou live to love;
With thy grace
Earth’s heaven,
Life’s Seven.
