New Song

Mine eyes see glorious light
Where shadows once crept

Prepare my heart with newness
Cause my ear to hear You

There is joyful singing now
In my soul once again

For when I cried out in need
My Lord set me in safety

I long for the morning sun
To begin a beautiful new day

Tho trials still strike at me
He shall preserve me in these times

To His face only will I look
Not at circumstances surrounding

He will keep me set aside
With His hand will He guide me

For He will show me the path
In His presence is fullness of joy

My heart is glad and rejoices
For with my Lord are pleasures unending
