New Snow

As winter winds blow through the town
With paints of white to cover the ground
A blanket of beauty is left before our eyes.

Falling flakes so furiously descend
Onto the ground and cold cement
A blanketed beauty falling from the sky.

However, we must travel in this storm
Please take your time and keep from harm.
Though pretty, it’s dangerous even still.

Please, take time to enjoy the scene
Of wintry white now covering green
Love the new landscape that for now, lays still.
