New Morn's Sun In Sky So Brilliantly Blue

New Morn's Sun In Sky So Brilliantly Blue Was she a shadow beauty, faded and lost, last year's crop stubble tilled underneath? True, eyes no longer shine as morn bright frost, her smile no longer showing pearly white teeth. What tremendous havoc has Time dared to wreck upon cheeks, chin and supple breasts that now sag? Each day she saw in her mirror as she inspects, huge wrinkles like that of a old, crumpled bag. Yet her heart, her heart remained true and kind her soft soul yet yearned for great love anew. Would such golden treasure she ever again find after her beauty, that Time had sought to undue? Yet when love came, she found despair had gone for its power and gift was to her beauty renew. For her new love, his love-light upon her shone, she was new morn's sun in sky so brilliantly blue! R.J. This is really beautiful Robert. I adore the language and meaning of your lovely words. Whenever I see couples in their late 80's, I am awed by the twinkle in the man's eye as I know he still sees her as his young bride. Wonderful writing, a pleasure to read you. xo hope you are very well.

Thank you my friend. Sometimes I look back at it and see I was more smitten by her kindness and gentle nature than her appearance--tho' she was indeed - a very, very beautiful lady.

Thank you my friend. I was very young when I wrote this one. And was very tempted to edit it before posting here but thought to keep it as written, to keep intact the ideas of youth and that outlook upon life and love.

Thank you my friend. At her age 40, she only had a couple small wrinkles around her eyes. That did nothing to dampened the kind and generous twinkles in here soul, eyes and heart.. She was one of the nicest people I've ever met..

A beautiful write. Beauty is more than skin deep, and in the eyes of the beholder... Your lines are so poetically lovely and the imagery is amazing. Your poem was written with such sensitivity and eloquence. I just loved reading this write this morning!

I have always been an avid reader of the classics, poetry and history. At 17, advanced in some things but still naive in regards to romance and its complexities. Life's complexities , too. I was smitten deep by the beauty of that very fine and wonderful lady. She was married and had children my age.... To this day, I still see her as wonderful, gorgeous and a very kind person..
