New Heart

Create a new heart within me, An eager, beating bounding heart, A heart vibrating in response to your love. Let me feel the passion and pathos of life, of your life. And be taken captive by Your bountiful love! Catching the spell of your loveliness! Make me thrilled at the sound of your footsteps! And to learn the rapture of hearing your name! Being absolved in the glory of your person. Let me experience the glow of excitement, When the murmur runs around, Jesus of Nazareth passes by! Then will the weariness of my heart, And the languor of my spirit cease, Setting my soul at full liberty. For the liberty of my flight is, The Sabbath of my soul that soars as the eagles, I will not faint nor be weary evermore.
