New Friend?
A poem from the heart
With a question in mind
Could this last from the start
A friendship till the end of time
Something true, yet hard to find
I’ve been here before
It’s been so long though
Lots have walked out the door
To my surprise, thought we’d grow
The true ones are unsuspecting
They just happen out of the blue
Always honest, never disrespecting
No shortage of support for you
My friendship with you could be it
The long lasting one that tests time
Something that can’t quit
A deep understanding, a true rhyme
That brings me back to this………
The question in my mind
Could this last from the start
A friendship till the end of time
