Nearlt born on my birthday
Loves to smile
And make people laugh
We weren't expecting you
Opened a card from your Mamma
On Father's Day
While I was golfing in Idaho
"You're getting a new fishing buddy"
It said
Well
Sometimes your grandpa
Needs hit over the head
To understand something
Now
Tears roll
Remembering that special day

I love your mamma so much
We weren't expecting her either
You're the best surprise ever
Your first birthday mamita
You're grandpa is so proud
Proud of you
And the one who gave you life
So I wrote this poem
You're going to wear your birthday cake
Make all our faces shine
Clap, wiggle, and shake to the music
Spread your joy the Lei Lei way
Just like you party everyday
And I can't wait to see you
In your party dress
Looking too cute
Flashing smiles no one can resist
I'm gonna play your favorite song

Might be the kind of woman you are
A lot like your grandpa...
Not hoping you are or you aren't
Just know you'll have someone
To relate to
And a damn good fishing buddy.
