New Dawn of An Old Romance
Upon the stage of love, familiar, yet estranged,
A face appears again, memories rearranged.
Eyes that once danced in a distant, forgotten dream,
Now seeking to relive, what once was our theme.
On the sheets of longing, the impress remains,
The scented sweat stains causing the worst migraines,
Struggling to release the ghost of love's past delight,
Embracing the new, yet haunted by yesterday’s foresight.
In the garden of dreams, your presence a shade,
Love blooms anew, yet fears it might fade.
The heartstrings strains to compose a tune so true,
A song once sung, under skies that were blue.
In the theatre of emotions, the play takes a bow,
Love's second act begins, but cautiously now.
Learning to let go, accepting the present embrace,
Finding you again, in a different time and a different place.
