New Born Moon
New Born Moon
Laying low in the cloudless evening sky,
Silver lit by the rapid setting sun,
Where radiant Venus shines bright nearby,
A waxing crescent, the moon’s month begun.
A new born moon in the darkening sky,
Set where the fading day at rest will lie.
