i know i try
way too hard,
but i'm new at this,
so isn't trying too much
better than not trying at all?
my dreams, i know,
are simply dreams,
and i know that nothing
could ever happen between us.
i still wished and hoped though,
and you crushed that small hope,
with that horrible little word,
no.
