Neverland

Why did they name it Neverland,
the land we know from childhood dreams;
that ever clever wonderland
of magical, fantastic schemes.
Neverland--where all will find
the meaning of their heart's desire,
the secret, yearning, inner flame
that keeps a battered hope afire.
Neverland? I say, "Foreverland,"
where life is perfectly divine;
where children learn but never leave
the carefree, simple joys behind.
Never, Neverland I've heard
is not so very far away,
and those who travel there, I know,
do so on any given day.
You will not mark it on a map,
there are no written signs or charts;
but, those who find it always say
they got there following their hearts.

Oh, this is delightful. Peter Pan was one of my favorite stories back in the day.
