Never To Return

I can't wrap my mind around The fact that you are gone Never to return You were just going to the store To be back in a minute Things didn't go that way For fate stepped in And changed many lives You left for the last time Never to return What would we have said If we had known That moment when you left Would be our last Never to return Here One Minute Gone The Next Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Line Gauthier 10/1/19

Poignant poem, Timothy. So tragic that this happened to someone you knew. Unsettling to the core.

G'day Timothy … sad time indeed with questions that will never be answered. A split second can change many lives - thanks Timothy - Lindsay

Absolutely, I just had a friend leave his house and got killed on his motorcycle. I cant wrap my mind around the question what if he had left 5 seconds later or if the car that hit him left 5 seconds earlier he would still be alive.

one never knows when one will leave this earth...we should always show our love to those we love, always let them know we care...for unspoken words could end up being our biggest regret...good penning!
