Never Settle

Don't know how to be a real man?
Something I could say to make you understand?
Not defined by gross annual income
Not who you know, that line is so overdone

If you can look me in the eye and speak
I wouldn't care if you're the biggest geek
If you can be there for me when I need
We'll go places no one has seen
If we were cherry trees,
Your pollen could fertilize my seeds

Don't stop until you get it
Settle for less, you'll regret it
Patience is a virtue few possess
Love is worth waiting for
In all the world it feels the best!

Oh I love this piece. It is beautiful. Thats what poetry should do stirr, emotions. It should make you laugh, cry, consider or wonder, or even resonates a strong message that will cause others to think. Poetry is more than throwing words on paper. Well done my dear but consider revising line two in the second stanza is it "There me" or "near me"?
