I never thought it'd be you,
Never knew this would be true

I never thought it'd be you who broke my heart,
Never knew it'd be you who tore it apart

I never thought it'd be you who tore me down,
Never thought it'd be you who caused my frown

I never thought it'd be you who caused my tears,
Never knew it'd be you who changed gears

I never thought it would be true,
Never knew it would be you
