Never Going To Drag Me Down

I so don’t have time for nonsense
You’ve gotta want to help yourself
Do you really want to sit and stagnate
In your pool of negativity and pessimism

There are kind people passing you on either side
While you are busy harping on the gloom and doom
You’re not noticing or hearing any of them

Do you really want to close your eyes
And not see any positive around you
There’s beauty all around you
You’re creating your world through your perception
Your reality is so off balance

Won’t you step back
Take a deep breath
And open up

Look for what’s beautiful
What’s bright and happy
What’s warm and kind

Realize that there’s something else out there
You’ve got to want to help yourself
