Never Forgotten Always Near

Thoughts of him I write today, Remembering the day he went away, His pain was just so unfair, Disease of cancer none can bear, With tears upon my older face, Still I see the empty space, I see his silly little smile, How he danced with so much style, Winters when we played in snow, And ran inside when we were cold, Evenings sitting by the fire, With the one I so desire, Catching a nap and holding hands, Our love was always really grands, Thinking of him after all these years, Makes me know I deserve these tears.
