Never Dare

Don't ever!
For the minutest fragment
of a second
think
he's better than I.
You're not wrong
to your scale
by your own measure.
The darkness you beheld,
treading its clear paths;
its schemes you bloomed;
well enough,
kept the early stars
in gloom.
Your seed soared.
The rightful's place
kept in the tunnel
in wait for the light.
The Source faded,
and so their hopes.
You never retired.
Till Today,
the place of the Source
you crave for him;
you value so dear.
He's better than I
you are tempted to think.
But
Never Dare!
For the firm resolve
of a determined soul,
You have no idea.
