Never Again
Never again
Never again will I bend to peer pressure from anyone
I don’t have any need to fit into society
I’m fine exactly as I am
Never again will I change the way I am
Why do I have to impress anyone
I love the person I am
Never again will I succumb to life’s weight
Everyone has gotten through something in life
I’m resilient enough to survive
Never again will I doubt my friends’ belief in me
They have always told me the truth
I have no reason to doubt them
Never again will I let my emotions control me
Negativity will always cloud judgment and mind
I am capable of thinking clearly
Never again will I be hesitant to express my love to people
You never know when it will end
I have to cherish every moment we share
Never again will I put myself down
What is the point of doing that?
I’m whole exactly as I am
But there are empty promises at the moment
I have to be sure to keep all these promises in the end
I will hold myself accountable for all these promises
Leaning on the support of my friends to better myself
