Nelson the Terrorist

Nelson Mandela was the man
the west loathed him
he wasn't white
he wasn't rich
he stood for the oppressed
not the South African white mobsters
that locked him up, undressed
he was a terrorist
or so they said

And now?
he's on your postage stamps
so lets prey for the day
when you learn the truth
thank-you Sinwar
for standing with humanity

There is no peace with an occupier
one cannot rest with a vile viper
ready to choke you
if anyone has doubts
go sleep in a gas chamber
then do pray
tell me how that works out

Duke Beaufort April 21, 2025 at 3:05 PM Arthur, I do not believe in war or killing as a means to suppress one culture for the benefit of another. Fighting against apartheid of any kind is complex, and I would hope that non-violence would prevail. It might be more likely if the major powers helped foster equality rather than the other way around. It's a tough world and difficult problems do not have easy solutions. There's a lot of greed and indifference, and how we get around all of it is hard to know. You do point out the hypocrisy.
