Always the gentle and the meek
The target
For beating and brow beat
Back

Some with fists
And some with guns
Others with words
Blackmailing emotion

And others come with religion

Always the gentle and the meek
The kind souls
They seek
Their targets

Disguised in humility

“ What ? Who ? Me ? ”

Bigger
Stronger
More astute
Bullies ply abuse
In tyrannical tirades

Weaker
Weakness
They cover
In their faceless violence
Of younger
More tender
Hearts

And screaming vendetta
They will scorn
Whip lash from afar
Any who stand firm

Turn and pray
They never return
To point the finger
Back at the accuser
Bully

Always prey on the gentler and meek
The soft and kind
They seek
Their targets

Never caring for the damage
Or hurt they cause
Self serving
Sentiments
Their only goal

Neighborhood
Playground
Bullies
Never grow up

They are a singular circle of fear
Reaching out to capture freedom
Curtail the burgeoning light
Which is not their own
While hiding behind the mask of love
Or behind a fist
Or behind a gun
Bully
Personality
Weapon

They seek those that trust and prey on their desire to please and thump their bibles as weapons instead of the loving word of God. I've had to deal with this in my own life and it can be so damaging.
