Neighbor
I wanted so many times to stop
At her house and be company to her
But I was fearful.
Scared she wouldn't know me
And would be afraid of me.
I'd see her standing on the porch
And would wave.
She'd wave back
Not really recognizing a neighbor.
I regret my silly fear now
She left her place one day walking
And no one has seen her since.
