Necropoleis

"Necropoleis"
Naked and invisible strange weather has transported me through the dark violet Necropoleis towards the eternity that is You Floating like a leaf, cold-veined To another life Fire, that is You I am falling into You Naked and invisible strange weather has transported me through the dark violet Necropoleis towards the eternity that is You Awaking slowly I am falling into You Floating like a leaf, cold-veined naked and invisible transported through the dark violet Necropoleis Falling into another life, FIRE towards the eternity that is You (LadyLabyrinth / 2020)

Thank you. Kai, to answer your question in mail - "Necropoleis", is one of the spellings one can use for the plural of the singular Necropolis. I am referring to more than one dead city. In my poem, the protagonist is travelling through more than one dead city to reach her destination, her lover or any other way of perceiving, "You".

the soul of the brain exposes its illusions, only to reveal the deepest most inner thoughts or perhaps a fleeting moment caught while half-asleep

I being mere mortal, the lesser of the skin of the night, dream of romance in another realm, waking to sunlight and daydreams of rogues with devilish smiles. This dear Bard, is my ongoing plight. x

It is the lesser evil, Peaky Blinders. Unfortunately, I have the propensity to fly into the arms of the darker shade, like metal to a magnet. Of course, I could be invested with an overload of Light, which attracts Dark. Pathologically, down the genetic bloodline, let us hope this trait is not hereditary. nb. "The Prodigy" who is reading this, to take note ...

This is the combined result of cabin fever, overdosing on Peaker Blinders and the daily escalating disturbing statistics of Covid19 deaths, viewing the testimony of frontline medical staff, and witnessing mobile morgues in trucks in NYC (45) at last count....and the possibility of finding romance through the Necropoleis...afterlife. NYC Stock Exchange more than likely doing well from all the souls it is selling....
