Naught of Tears
I have sought shadows within remnants of light
given my soul to sanctity of sight-
I have borne scars inflicted by tears
encompassed by fate surmised throughout all the years-
To what have I become if not fallen from grace
beauteous rose that kissed timeless face-
Laughter composed of poetry and prose
smiles returned of heartache unbeknown-
Give to me of years as the sky
so that I may look upon diamonds
and never cry-
For life gives naught but of itself
revealing truth until the end
wherein is the day given to us
that we must die
immortality thus descends-
