When I saw your eyes, I stared for a while,
Because they had put me under their spell.
I decided to compliment you well,
Since complimenting beauty is my style.
Although we are separated by miles,
Upon me, your unique beauty still fell,
And as far as I am able to tell,
The sun does not shine as bright as your smile.
Your beauty is what I was blessed to see,
Giving me a beautiful point of view.
So, because your beauty inspired me,
This Italian Sonnet is for you.
And, this is the way that it has to be,
Since writing poetry is what I do.
