Nature's Tranquility
When city streets break into a cacophony of noises,
splintered sounds affect my psyche.
Anxiety overshadows reality at the edge of tears,
and I feel I've got to get away!
When my psyche needs time to recuperate,
I inevitably turn to Nature's tranquility;
to off-balance the hustle and bustle of the city.
I love people, but sometimes, I need to be alone with my thoughts;
and listen to Nature speak in whispered sounds of silence.
Leaving technology behind, I go tenting in my favorite spot;
a place of quietude, introspection, dreams, and solitude,
serenaded by the murmurings of a babbling brook.
At night, the stars bathe me in celestial light;
and I feel exhilarated, intoxicated, and refreshed!
Nature's serene spirituality embraces me;
penetrating every cell of my being.
And my body releases dopamine to numb any hurt;
leaving me at peace, feeling one with the universe.
