Nature's Grand Show

The thunder rolled across the sky

Sounding like an orchestra's rythym section of drums

Beating, rolling to a crescendo

Upon the dark fluffy, floating menacing clouds

As if rumbled you felt the earth shake

One loud crack and the the symphony ended

Only to regain composure and start again

Sheets of lightning danced across the sky

Once in a while a bolt of lightning would strike

The light show was spectacular

It was nature's own fire works

It felt like the opening of a new show

The rains poured from the heaven

And the heaven opened every tear duct

It drenched everything in sight

I stood in awe of mother nature's grand show.

Thank you Phyllis for your comment on my poem "Paper Dreams". I loved your poem here. The imagery and analogy of the storm and symphony was perfect. Randy

This is excellent. I can hear the melody, harmony, and rhythm from all the instruments joining together in one symphony. Great job! ~Joseph

I remember as a child, standing on the veranda with my father, watching an electrical storm. It was so awesome and made a huge impression on me. This is so vividly described. Well done. Regards Heidie
