you really captured the moment here with wonderful imagery. the "fog licked" was an awesome choice of words/personification. well done!

Hi Johnny, I really like this haiku. Images of fog (white) and the spider (black). This would look stellar in a book of poetry with a black/white shot. Stopped by to 1) say thanks for your kind comments about my mystery poem. 2) to thank you for the info on morning star- I googled it and there's a big debate on the biblical translations. One note, Rev. 22:16 Jesus says OF HIMSELF: "I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star." Enjoyed this read! Cyndi

This give any reader a clear image of what you're trying to tell. just wonderful! And the title is the perfect set up for the Haiku, I enjoyed this very much!
